Booking & Alcohol Policy
Babason LLC d/b/a/ TasteIST
Effective Date: February 13, 2025
To ensure a seamless, responsible, and enjoyable tasting experience, all guests booking a TasteIST workshop or guided event are required to review and acknowledge the following policies:
1. Alcohol Procurement & Responsibility
TasteIST does not sell, supply, or serve alcohol.
All alcoholic beverages used during the tasting must be provided by the host or venue. By booking a session, the host confirms that they have the legal right to purchase, possess, and serve alcohol at the event location.
The host is solely responsible for:
Selecting, purchasing, and providing all whisk(e)y bottles used in the session
Complying with local, state, and federal alcohol regulations
Ensuring alcohol is not served to anyone under the legal drinking age
Monitoring guest consumption and maintaining a safe environment
TasteIST may recommend styles or expressions to support the curation process, but all final purchase decisions remain with the host.
The host assumes full responsibility for compliance with Florida Statutes Chapters 561–568 (or applicable local alcohol regulations in the event location).
TasteIST encourages the host to promote responsible transportation planning for attendees.
2. Legal Drinking Age Requirement
All participants must be of legal drinking age in the jurisdiction where the tasting is held.
By booking, the host agrees to verify participant ages when necessary.
TasteIST reserves the right to decline participation from any guest who cannot provide proof of age.
3. Consumption & Safety
TasteIST promotes mindful, responsible tasting.
Guests are never required to consume alcohol; sipping, spitting, or abstaining is always welcome.
The host assumes full responsibility for:
The safety of all attendees
Ensuring no guest operates a vehicle or machinery while impaired
Managing the environment in which alcohol is consumed
TasteIST is not liable for actions taken by participants before, during, or after the tasting.
Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with alcohol consumption, including but not limited to impaired judgment, injury, allergic reactions, or adverse health effects.
4. Independent & Unbiased Curation
TasteIST is an independent educational provider, not affiliated with or sponsored by any distillery or brand.
This independence allows for unbiased recommendations across styles, regions, and producers.
TasteIST does not endorse or promote any brand for commercial benefit.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must follow the terms included in your booking confirmation.
If alcohol has already been purchased by the host, TasteIST is not responsible for reimbursement of those costs.
TasteIST shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including illness, weather, venue restrictions, or government regulations.
6. Liability Waiver
By booking a TasteIST session, the host and attendees acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with alcohol consumption.
TasteIST, its facilitators, and Babason LLC are not liable for:
Injury, damage, or loss resulting from alcohol consumption
Venue-related hazards
Guest behavior or actions
Participation indicates agreement to these terms.
TasteIST does not act as a licensed alcohol vendor and does not assume duties imposed upon alcohol sellers under Florida law.
The host is responsible for ensuring that the venue complies with all applicable safety, occupancy, and alcohol-related laws.
7. Agreement & Acknowledgement
Proceeding with a booking signifies that the host has read, understood, and agrees to all policies outlined in this document.
